Peril on the Peaks is the first episode of Rescue Heroes.

Plot[]

During a fire rescue, the rookie, Rocky Canyon, is overly zealous and takes matters into his own hands, ignoring the team plan, and inadvertently putting the others at risk. The Rescue Heroes express the importance and safety of sticking to the plan, and of being a team player. And so when the Rescue Heroes are called in to rescue mountain climbers faced with a fierce, unexpected storm and subsequent avalanche, Rocky relies on the team plan, and the Rescue Heroes successfully come to the aid of the mountain climbers.

Characters[]

  • Rocky Canyon

  • Wendy Waters
  • Jake Justice
  • Ariel Flyer
  • Roger Houston
  • Jack Hammer

  • Cindy

Trivia[]

  • This is the first episode to have Billy Blazes' phrase, "Let's move!" and sounds muted in the theme song after a character says, "…to call in the Rescue Heroes!" at the end of the cold open.
  • This episode marks the first time "Grab hoses five and six!" is said by various firefighters in the same clothes. This will happen again later in episodes like "Four Alarm Fire and Brimstone" and "The Fire of Field 13".
  • The cold open takes place at the Condor Oil Refinery where the main Rescue Heroes do not appear but the captain in a white firefighter's hat, various firefighters with yellow firefighter's hats, and the one running to the captain and saying, "Fuel tank 46 looks like it's going to blow any minute, and there are workers stuck on that platform. We can't get to them in time!" by talking to him, making the captain reply, "That does it! I'm upgrading this 9-1-1 to a full rescue red alert!" saying the title of the show for the first time. Roger Houston will say it for the last time at the end of the cold open for El Niño.
  • This episode marks the only appearances of the captain and the firefighter talking to him, but only in the cold open.

Goofs[]

  • When the firefighters arrive in a shot, the sirens' lights on the fire engines are blue when they flash, but when they're turned off, they are orange and the firefighters are still present.
